Scribe captures processes too, but in a more limited format. It's mostly static screenshots with step titles. It’s great for simple tutorials, but lacks interactive or dynamic motion.

Scribe does detect steps, but its automation is basic and can miss or merge complex actions.

Scribe also generates step-by-step guides from workflows, capturing screenshots and turning clicks into simple visual instructions.

Clueso’s editor allows you to refine guides with multimedia elements, embeds, and callouts. You can also publish in rich formats for help centers or internal wikis.

Scribe’s editing features are more basic. You can rename or reorder steps but can’t customize structure or add dynamic content.

Code Documentation

Clueso supports code snippets and developer-oriented documentation, automatically formatting and embedding syntax.

Scribe doesn’t support code documentation or inline code formatting.

Automated Screenshots

Both tools take screenshots automatically, but Clueso enhances them with zooms, focus effects, and context-aware framing. Scribe captures basic screenshots without motion or annotation.

GIF Creation

Both the tools offer Gif creation features. Clueso generates high-quality GIFs directly from your screen recordings or selected segments of a video. Scribe’s output is limited to short, static transitions between screenshots rather than smooth motion.

Article Copilot

Clueso offers article copilot that you can use to copy local changes globally, make edit to images, adjust phrasing and formatting with a simple prompt

Scribe does not offer any such features.

Breaking Long Recordings Into SOPs per Workflow

Clueso detects each distinct workflow and turns them into their own structured article with screenshots, step descriptions, and formatting applied automatically.

Scribe does not offer workflow segmentation, each guide must be recorded separately.

Multi-format Export

Both tools support HTML, PDF, and Markdown exports, but Clueso adds rich-text formats and native embeds for platforms like Notion and Zendesk.

Ease of Maintenance

When your product UI or workflow changes, you can re-record just the updated section, and Clueso automatically refreshes the entire guide — including visuals, narration, and translations.

Scribe requires a full recapture each time a process changes. It’s fine for static, infrequent updates, but it quickly becomes time-intensive for teams managing complex products or frequent releases.
