# How to create breakout rooms in Zoom

In this article, you'll learn how to create breakout rooms in a Zoom meeting.

1. Start by navigating to the **More** option located at the right most of the bottom toolbar.

2. From the pop-up menu, select **Breakout Rooms**.

3. You can assign participants to breakout rooms in three ways. If you want the system to do it for you, choose "Assign automatically" to spread everyone out evenly.
