When your clip locks to the timeline like a clingy ex with nowhere else to go.

## What it is

Snap is an editing timeline feature that automatically aligns clips, transitions, or markers when they come close to the playhead or other edit points. Instead of imprecise placement, clips “snap” into exact positions.

## Why it's important

Snapping saves time and keeps edits clean. It speeds up precision edits and ensures cuts, transitions, or overlays are aligned and prevents accidental gaps or overlaps without manual nudging. It’s a quality-of-life feature in all modern editing tools.

## When/how to use
